We need adequate levels of electrolytes in our system. Most of us have experienced leg cramps, fatigue, headaches, insomnia, Etc. These can all be helped by electrolytes. In addition! The recipe I have for this drink is rich in magnesium which we are all starving for and helps us function more comfortably and calmly in our lives. All kinds of magnesium benefits exist out there. You can check it out online.

But don’t grab a Gatorade or a Pedialyte! One can easily make it at home! Plus! It’s far superior made with these ingredients and has no sugar or food coloring. Those two ingredients are not beneficial to your cells and can cause some of the symptoms listed above.

We have been conditioned to love sweet drinks. This drink is obviously salty. As I mentioned, it is far superior so just make that switch in your brain and get over it.

Be sure to check out the suggestions I make at the end of my recipe. It can help if you can’t get over that saltiness. There are things that we can try. Please email comments or suggestions of your own! (gustydoll@proton.com)

What are electrolytes?

Electrolyt0es, such as sodium, potassium and calcium, are molecules that carry an electric charge and are essential for various physiological processes in your body. Electrolytes are dissolved in bodily fluids, such as blood and cellular fluids, and play a crucial role in maintaining proper cell function, nerve impulses, muscle contractions and fluid balance.

• Regulate the fluid levels in your blood plasma and your body.

• Keep the pH (acid/alkaline) of your blood in the normal range (7.35-7.45, slightly alkaline).

• Enable muscle contractions, including the beating of your heart.

• Transmit nerve signals from heart, muscle and nerve cells to other cells.

• Help blood to clot.
